TREE HOUSE IN YALA / TISSAMAHARAMA SRI LANKA
Every Tree House is in the height of 30 to 35 feet’s from the ground and well furnished from comfortable Sleeping and relaxing Facilities and well protected from any weather condition. Tree Houses are illuminated with kerosene oil lamps known as “Lantharuma” and electricity is provided by generators. Modern Bathrooms fitted in nature friendly style will offer Shower baths and sanitary ware facilities. Every night a huge fire is lit in the front yard .and Visitors can seated around the fire and enjoy every minute of their wonderful time they spend there in a camping style.
At twilight and watch as playful monkeys playing on trees .Peacock settle in the trees for the night , Birds of prey circle Overhead and giants bates take flights as the mystery of the jungle surrounds you. If you wish in the night you can see the sky full of stars if you get out of your Tree House. At dawn you are waken up with sudden birds singing of nature’s music. These romantic tree houses are well prepared to give you each and every comfort. You need not rise early to go to safari as you are sleeping very close to the Yala National Park entrance.
The Tree House at Yala can be reached from the town of Tissamaharama – located in the South East part of Sri Lanka – which could be reached from Colombo either though Galle, Matara, Hambanthota route along the Southern coastal line or through Wellawaya, Thanamalvila route which is inside the country. Presently you have the option of travelling though the Sri Lanka’s second International Airport – Mattala Airport – which could be reached directly or from internal flights from Colombo or Katunayake.
From Tissamaharama town you have to travel to Yala Junction, which is 10km away from town. Then travel another 12km from Yala Junction towards Yala National Park and turn left near the electrical fence of Yala National Park and travel 1km to reach the Yala Tree House.
In addition to the Yala National Park, there are many attractions and activities around the Yala to make your visit a unique one.
